Project Officer with Loch Duart Ltd, Sutherland

Founded on principles of best environmental and fish welfare practices, Loch Duart is committed to sustainable development. Our in-house R&D department develops innovative solutions to improve farming methods and is looking for a motivated and practical individual to join the team.

The role is specifically linked to a current project and involves working alongside our Engineering and Development departments on the manufacture and deployment of new systems on our sea sites and carrying out ongoing monitoring work.

The successful applicant will have strong practical skills and be readily adaptable to new situations. Outdoor working and excellent teamwork skills are essential. The following would be an advantage:

- Aquaculture/Marine Biology/Biology qualification
- Previous fish farm experience
- Practical skills including sample collection and microscope work
- Competence in Microsoft Office incl Excel
- Practical abilities including boat skills and tool use

This is, initially, a one year fixed-term contract but with good future prospects for the right candidate and full training and support will be given. Location: Scourie, Sutherland. Salary details on application. Accommodation available.
